I think my bad luck dating streak is finally over! I’ll soon need some dating advice, lol. I’ve been talking to this really great guy named Ben. He just moved here from London about two months ago and we hit it off right away! He has a really cute face but he’s a little bit on the short side for me only 5’8 which means I won’t be wearing my super high heels anymore (tear tear). But what he lacked in height he totally made up for in personality and his adorable accent. Why are we American girls so fascinated with accents? Ben’s accent made me melt!
We decided to meet for drinks and then to go see a comedy show the other day. I was more nervous than I have ever been since that horrible date with Joe. The fear of being ditched again almost made me want to flake out completely. I’m glad I didn’t though because Ben was a really great guy! We had a ton of things to talk about. He was a successful poker player and was involved in some kind of family business that dealt with sports betting (still not really sure what that means). After a few drinks to break the ice we went to go see the comedy show. It was HILARIOUS! I was laughing so hard I actually snorted but thankfully he didn’t hear me because it was so loud in there. I highly recommend comedy shows for a fist date because I had a blast.
After I got home Ben called me to make sure I got home alright and to tell me he had a great time. He asked me out on another date so we’ll see how this goes. It definitely seems promising.
